Study Abroad

Welcome to Ag Econ's study abroad web site. We have designed this site to help students in the Department of Agricultural Economics learn more about study abroad opportunities. Here we provide information for students considering study abroad and links to other important sources of study abroad information, including the office of International Programs in Agriculture (IPIA) and Purdue's Study Abroad office .

We firmly believe that choosing to study abroad is one of the best choices a student can make. Study abroad widens your horizons, increases your knowledge about the global marketplace, and can help to place you "a cut above the rest." Returning Purdue students often tell us that study abroad was one of their best Purdue experiences. Employers often tell us that they actively seek graduating students with study abroad experiences.

To help you navigate the range of study abroad choices, this site provides interactive screens designed to help you uncover the study abroad experience that is right for you. You'll also get to hear study abroad stories from students who have been there, and hear first hand what employers think about study abroad. If, after spending some time at this site, you think study abroad might be right for you, we encourage you to schedule an appointment to meet the Ag Econ department's specially-designated study abroad counselor.

If you sometimes feel as if you've "been there" and "done that" then it might just be time for you to Go Global!
