Dr. Maria Marshall conducts an applied research and
Extension program in small business management, food marketing, and
entrepreneurship. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of
Agricultural Economics and Extension Specialist in small business
development. Dr. Marshall conducts research on Indiana entrepreneurs
and value-added opportunities available to Indiana producers. Dr.
Marshall leads the Small Business Development Program, the Food
Entrepreneurship Engagement Program (FEEP), and the Spanish-Language
Small Business Development Program.
Dr. Maria Marshall received her PhD. in
Agricultural Economics from Kansas State University. She has
international marketing experience from working for two grain marketing
firms. She worked for ConAgra in their Feed Ingredient Merchandising
Division in Omaha, Nebraska but most of her industry experience however
is with The Scoular Company’s Grain Division in Overland Park, Kansas
