Raymond Florax will be stepping down as Editor-in-Chief of "Papers in Regional Science", the flagship journal of the Regional Science Association International, and has been appointed to the Editorial Board of the journal.
Edna Loehman will be working with researchers at the USGS Ft. Collins office for Feb. – April.She will be working with models of negotiation and conflict resolution for water issues.
The 11 two-day 2006 Purdue Income Tax School programs have been concluded with an enrollment of nearly 1,000 tax professionals. Coordinated by George Patrick , the program is conducted in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service and Indiana Department of Revenue. Three half-day programs on Agricultural Tax Issues had an enrollment of about 110 tax professionals.

Wally Tyner was a featured speaker at the Indiana State Farm Bureau convention in December. He spoke on energy security, ethanol, and ethanol policy. In January he will be presenting a paper on US bioenergy policy at a European conference in Sweden .
Otto Doering will be meeting with other National Science Foundation Industry/University Cooperative Research Center evaluators in Washington Jan 11-12 and will also be speaking to the USDA Economist's group on Expectations for Economists in Valuing Environmental Goods and Services. He will be working with the agricultural committee chairs from the National Council of State Legislators the end of the month. He is also serving on EPA's Science Advisory Board Committee on Integrated Nitrogen.
Thomas Hertel presented "Analyzing Long Run Supply and Demand for Land" by Alla Golub, Thomas Hertel and Brent Sohngen at the EMF 22 meeting Tsukuba , Japan , December 12-14, 2006.
