April 8-13: Professors Hans Andersson & Bo Öhlmer from the Department of Economics, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, SWEDEN will visit the Department of Agricultural Economics.

From ICEE:

Econ Challenge coming up April 12th.  Three sites:  Mishawaka , Indianapolis and New Albany .  High School Economics students compete in a statewide competition for the opportunity to represent Indiana in a regional event.   In 2002 and 2003 Indiana had entries in the national competition, and in 2003 the Carmel High School teams placed first and second in the nation!

This publication is part of a series developed by the Agricultural Innovation and Commercialization Center (AICC). The publications present concepts useful to entrepreneurs as they develop new ventures.

Travel, Speeches and Presented Papers:

Janet Ayres participated in the National Association of Community Development Extension Professionals, a newly formed national organization to represent Extension staff working in the area of community development. This organization will give a voice within the Extension policy arena. Approximately 400 staff from across the country participated in the conference held in Las Vegas , February 15-18. Ayres was co-author of a paper that was distributed to all the participants defining the program area of community development and core competencies. Ayres also co-led a workshop on Working with Controversial Public Issues.
