Dr. Bob Taylor and the Farm Management Club took a group
of 16 to see the new soybean producing area of Brazil during
spring break. They spent time with pioneers in the area
as they grew and developed into large farms. These huge
farms, often ranging from three miles square to over 25
miles square, were raising soybeans and cotton from horizon
to horizon. Several students found this trip kindled long
term interest in world agriculture.
