Congratulations and Names in the News:

Adair Morse, PhD student, will be honored April 10th at the third annual Celebration of Graduate Student Teaching. Graduate teaching assistants from across campus will be honored for their dedication to Purdue students and their outstanding teaching contributions. Each of these recipients has been selected by their respective departments.

Jason Henderson, Ph.D. candidate, accepted a position with the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City.

Indiana Council for Economic Education (ICEE) Executive Director, Harlan Day, will be traveling to Dubrovnik, Croatia, in May to take part in an international conference linking economic educators from the United States and Eastern Europe. The conference is part of an ongoing effort over the years by the National Council on Economic Education (NCEE) to develop Councils and Centers of Economic Education in many of the transition countries of eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Many economic educators from the United States, including those in the ICEE network, continue to be instrumental in this significant effort.

Travel, Speeches and Presented Papers

John Connor will give the keynote address at a meeting of the Canadian Agricultural Economics Society in Toronto, April 27-28, 2001. The keynote address will be "Global Price Fixing in Food and Feed Ingredients: Legal-Economic Causes and Consequences."

Wesley Musser and George Patrick presented a paper, "How Much Does Risk Really Matter to Farmers?," at the SEAR-IF-31 annual meeting in Gulf Shores, AL.
