Ph.D. Preliminary Exams

Welcome to the site for the PhD exams in agricultural economics at Purdue. We call them prelims, but they are often called “qualifying” or “general” exams at other PhD programs. Our rules regarding the prelim exams can be found in the department's policies and procedures manual . For details on upcoming exams, please contact the committee chair, Prof. Gerald Shively .

Exam Dates:

Agricultural Economics:

Tues. January 22nd in Krannert rooms 661, (9:00-1:00) and 646 (12:30-4:30)

Retake: TBA

Microeconomics: (always Mondays of 4th and 11th weeks of Summer Classes)

June with retakes if necessary in July
