How to Find and Use Demographic Information from the
U.S. Census Bureau Web Site

This publication explains how to extract, download, analyze, and map census demographic data. It provides a practical example, formulas you would be most likely to use, and numerous pop-up windows explaining the procedure.

The best way to navigate this document is to download the index.pdf file and then click on the description links as you come to them. If you have slow interent connection, such as dial up access, you might prefer to use the printable version below. To download the index.pdf file, simple move your cursor over it (highlighted one in this sentence), right click on it, and select Save Target As, then download it to your hard drive. Open it from your drive, and then the links will open in a separate window, allowing for easier navigation.

To just view this publication and to navigate through using the web browser, please follow this link.

A printable version is also available.
