Topic: Radio and dispatch services

Date: 1994 and 1995, various months

Purpose: For the city to provide radio and dispatch service to the other jurisdictions.

Function: Public safety, Police/fire communications

Type: Collaboration

Organization: Joint agreements (there are 8 individual aggreements, but conditions are the same for each agreement except for fees). No governing boards. Single supply: City supplies radio and dispatch services to each jurisdiction and each jurisdiction is charged an annual fee.

Duration: 1 year, from January 1, 1995 to December 31, 1995 (P. 1)

Financing: Fees to be paid to City for 1995 are as follows:

Town of Chesterfield $24,149;

Town of Edgewood $ 4,674;

Town of Lapel $11,401;

Town of Pendleton $29,997;

Town of Summitville $ 2,502;

Boone Township $ 1,954;

Richland Township $13,453;

Van Buren Township $ 2,608.

These fees are to be paid in semi-annual installments. Each installment is equal to half of the annual total. First installment made by July 31, 1995, second by December 31, 1995. Any delinquent balance will be charged 12% interest compounded semi-annually. Thirty (30) days from the due date, if balance is still unpaid, service will be terminated. (P. 1)

Administration: Each jurisdiction served by City agrees to pay all telephone service charges for connection to Control Dispatch Center. Indiana Bell or General Telephone will bill these jurisdictions for these services effective January 1, 1995. (P. 2)

Termination: Agreement may be terminated by either party upon 30 days written notice to the other party. (P. 2)
