Organization: Joint agreement. Governed by joint board. Single supply: County purchases mosquito control services from the Corporation.
Duration: From date of signing until December 31, 1993 (P. 1)
Staffing and supplying: Corporation will provide services through its own trained personnel. Such
personnel will be supervised by Corporation staff. Corporation shall furnish supplies and materials
for its personnel. (P. 2)
Financing: County pays fees to Corporation as services are rendered; list of fees ( for mileage,
mosquito spraying, labor, and others) is given. Corporation shall submit an invoice at least once a
month, detailing the services rendered. County shall remit payment within 30 days. (P. 2)
Corporation's Bureau of Environmental Health shall devise budget, which shall be submitted to the
Joint Board for payment approval. (Pp. 2-3)
Administration: Joint board will consist of representatives of both parties, 2 of which are from
Johnson County and 3 of which are from Health and Hospital Corporation; all hold specific offices
in their jurisdictions (which are listed on p. 3).
Property: No property shall be acquired, held or disposed of by joint board.
Liability: County holds harmless Corporation from any and all claim, liability, etc. arising out of
any acts or omissions made by anyone connected with this agreement, including cost attorney's fees
incurred in conjunction with such claims. Exceptions are claims resulting from the negligence of any
officers, agents, or employees of the Corporation. (P. 3)
