Purpose: To provide emergency dispatching services to the Avon Fire Department ("Avon") of
Washington Township.

Organization: Joint agreement. No governing board. Single supply: Town supplies communication services to Avon and Township will pay annual fee for these services.
Duration: January 1, 1995 to December 31, 1995 (p. 1)
Services delivered: Town will maintain telephone and radio equipment that will be used to provide
service to Avon. (P. 1)
Financing: Fee to be paid by Township to Town is set by the Town and cannot increase during the
time covered by this contract. Fee for this contract is $12,500. Payment can be made in 1 installment
(no later than June 30, 1995) or in two equal installments (half by June 30, 1995 and the other half
no later than December 15, 1995). (p. 1) Payment must be made in person at the Town of Plainfield
Clerk-Treasurer's office. Receipt of payment will be issued at that time. (P. 2)
Administration: Town will only provide communications for emergency services. All
administrative or personal communications for Avon will be directed through other channels. Avon
agrees to maintain a telephone connected to a business line at their station for the purpose of
receiving administrative or personal communications. This line required to be manned 24 hours a
day, every day of the year, either by departmental personnel or by an automatic answering machine.
Any change in Avon's communication or dispatching procedures must first be approved by
Plainfield Fire Chief. (P. 1)
Termination: Can occur in 1 of 2 ways: (1) Written notice has been hand delivered to the chief of
the other department at least 3 months prior to the proposed date of cancellation; (2) Payment for
services provided is not received by the stated due date. (P. 1)
