Purpose: To jointly fund the operation of the zoning law of the City for 1995. Such funding will pay
for the operation of the Carmel Clay Township Plan Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals, and
the Department of Community Development. (Pp. 1-2)

as Exhibits A and B; sum of 2 budgets represents total (budgeted) cost of operating zoning law in
1995. (Pp. 1-2) Township will pay City up to the sum of $350,985 on or before December 31, 1995.
(P. 2) City agrees to furnish an income and expenditure statement on monthly basis. (P. 2) Township
will pay a total of 42.2% of the net cost of zoning expenses. At year's end, if it is discovered that
Township has overpaid, they will get a refund in cash. If income received by City in connection with
the operation of the zoning laws results in a net cost to taxpayers which is a surplus, then township
will receive 42.2% of surplus (in cash). Such payments will be paid no later than July 15, 1996. (P.

Administration: In a preliminary discussion, City and Township made an estimate of anticipated
expenses and income for 1995. (P. 1) City agrees to include Township in its 1996 budgeting
discussions and to send to Township copies of completed budgets for the Department of Community
Development by September 1, 1995. Final budgets sent to Township by January 10, 1996. (P. 4) All
requests for payments shall be placed upon a form approved by the Indiana State Board of Accounts.
