Organization: Joint agreement. No joint board. Joint supply: City supplies personnel and equipment; Township will make available to City all of its fire fighting equipment and vehicles. (pp. 1-2)
Duration: 1 year (p. 1)
Services delivered: City will supply basic life support emergency service, use of the Communication
Center, and administration of the 911 emergency service. Will maintain the Communication Center
and handle all administrative duties, including purchases of appropriate insurance. (pp. 1-3)
Staffing and supplying: At least eighty-one (81) full-time, paid firemen to be employed; twenty-four (24) on duty at all times. (p. 2)
Financing: Township's monetary liability is based upon its share of 1994's Fire Protection expenses. This is computed as the ratio of the Township's 1994 assessed liability over the total 1994 assessed liability. This appears to be 42.2 %. Hence, Township will pay 42.2 % of 1995 budgeted expenses. Itemized Fire Department budget is included as Exhibit A. Communications Center budgeted separately. Copy of this budget present as Exhibit B. Township will pay 42.2 % of one-half of these expenses. Total values for both budgets are present, as is the payment plan of the Township.
Monthly statements of expenses furnished by City. City to furnish a complete statement of 1995 expenditures and encumbrances by February 28, 1996. Township to receive pro rata refund of unspent monies by July 15, 1996. (pp. 2-4)
Need for additional monies throughout the year made known to Township in writing no later
than thirty (30) days prior to the need of those funds. City and Township mutually decide if
additional appropriations will be made. (p. 6)
Administration: Township to be kept informed of City's budgeting for 1996 in anticipation of enacting a Contract for Fire Protection for 1996. (p. 7)
