Hot Topic: On Local Government
Two or three times a year Larry DeBoer and Scott Hutcheson put on a show over streaming video from a room at Purdue University. It's a series called "On Local Government." It's broadcast to extension offices around the state, and interested folks can sign up with their local extension educators. The presentations are recorded and are available on the Purdue Extension website, for people who couldn't watch it "live."
The most recent presentation happened on June 26, 2008. The title was "Indiana Property Tax Reform, 2008:Budgets, LOITs and Circuit Breaker Credits" The talk was about the General Assembly's recently passed property tax reform, and the effect of the new circuit breakers on budgeting and the local income tax adoption decision.
